Best Time to Visit

Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) are the best seasons. West Lake is especially beautiful during spring blossom and autumn foliage. Summers are hot and humid.

Getting There

45-minute high-speed rail from Shanghai. All internal transfers are arranged by China Quest with private coaches. Hangzhou East station is modern and well-connected.

Local Flavour

Hangzhou is famous for Longjing (Dragon Well) green tea, Dongpo pork, and West Lake vinegar fish. Tea plantation visits and local cooking experiences are included in our programmes.
